THEME SOTD: Favorite Knot!

Friday's SOTD was "Favorite Knot" and I took pictures for it! I just had to get ready for a weekend trip and forgot to post them....

Here they are, my two favorite knots:

Simple knot:


I love the casual yet, elegant, look of this knot. It's one of my "go to" knots for scarves. Simple and easy to execute.

I found this one in my very first scarf knot book from "H". I've never looked back.

Twilly time!

The sun was shining today, which meant it was time to break out a Twilly! Here I am with my Mors scarf ring and my Ponts du Paris Twilly (from 2008). In the lime green. Lovely!

Rouge G - by Guerlain

Guerlain has introduced a new lipstick line called "Rouge G de Guerlain" it comes in the most fantastic case I've ever seen! Designed by Lorenz Baumer, a French Jeweler.



It is white gold-coated with a mirrored interior.



It's delicious to hold! The case is very smooth. You open it simply by pulling the lipstick out and the top flips open with a very satisfying sound. The colors themselves run the gamut. There are plenty of neutral shades to work for everyday and more than a few bolder hues. I opted for BOLD for this purchase:



This one is a vivid pink. Perfect for the summer! It gives me a berry kissed, slightly sunburned mouth. I've always loved that color on my face - just never wanted the sun exposure! The price is about double what I've normally paid for lipsticks in the past $45.00. The colors, however, STAY. I cannot believe the long-lasting effects of this bright color! I've never had a lipstick work this well for me! I've tried many of the current "long-lasting" labeled creations and find my lips to be very dry. This one does not dry out my lips. They feel great and look fabulous!

I may have to go back for more!

The enabling of the ladies at the Guerlain counter at Saks knows no peers! They sent me on my way with a lovely sampler of Rouge G colors....



There are at least two on here that I really like! Would it be very wrong to spend $135.00 on lipstick?

For anyone wondering how to wrap a bangle:

Pull the scarf through the bangle:


Wrap the long end around the bangle:


Keep wrapping:


Tie in a knot when finished:


DONE!

Theme SOTD: Grail Scarf

My second ever Grail Scarf: Trophese de Venise by Hermes.



As soon as I heard of this silk scarf, it went on my must have list! Look at these details!




The center mosaic reminds me of the marble floors outside of the Ca de Oro.

It is bad! My excuse is housework. I forgot about it being Friday "theme" day...until I was browsing The SOTD thread on The Purse Forum. I quickly snapped some pics to post...and ther you have it.

Wrapped Bangle

Today, I wrapped a Tiffany silk ribbon around a plastic bangle from Target (less chance of snags on smooth plastic) and wore it as a bracelet.

NOT the best angle and makes my arm look HUGE! UGH! At least you can see how nice the bangle looks.
